Air New Zealand

Since Air New Zealand's story began with forerunner airline, Tasman Empire Airways Limited (TEAL) in April 1940, its route network has expanded from Australia and the Pacific to Asia, the USA, UK, Europe, and internally, allowing recognition for Air New Zealand as a truly international airline.

In March 1999 Air New Zealand became a full member of the Star Alliance group which includes Air Canada, ANA, Asiana Airlines, Austrian Airlines, bmi, LOT Polish Airlines, Lufthansa, Singapore Airlines, SAS, South African Airways, Spanair, SWISS, TAP Portugal, Thai Airways, United Airlines, US Airways and Varig.

With new direct routes and their commitment to customers service, Air New Zealand remains devoted to delivering a uniquely Kiwi experience to its customers. Air New Zealand's aircraft vary in size from the Beech 1900D to the Boeing 747-400, with a total of 99 aircraft as at July 2008.
